So we both decided (my partner and I) that we couldn't be bothered to cook, let's face it we all go through that time where we want someone else to cook.
We decided to go to Chiquitos, a restaurant that cooks Mexican food.
We started with Jalapeno Poppers (always a favourite) first bite into them and they are oozing with a gorgeous soft cheese coated in crispy breadcrumbs, and we tried something different, Chorizo Croquettes, it was a sweet potato croquette filled with chorizo, sweetcorn and onion. They served both dishes with the famous jalapeno jelly which we both love.
For main I had Spiced Coconut Chicken, this was truly delicious and had a very good kick to it, chicken breast, ginger and chilli in a spicy aromatic coconut sauce. Served with Mexican spiced rice, tortilla puffs and a dollop of whipped feta & honey. I especially enjoyed the tortilla puffs.
My partner John, had the Sweet Mango Cod, baked cod loin topped with a sweet mango glaze. Served with chilli & lime broccoli, citrus crunch potatoes and a sweet cranberry salsa. He told me he thoroughly enjoyed this.

Both pretty full by now but of course, there is always room for dessert. I had the classic Churros and Hot Chocolate. John had this brownie baked banana, which looked a little weird but he enjoyed it - Banana stuffed with chocolate brownie and baked in the oven. Topped with fresh raspberries, a drizzle of chocolate sauce and served with vanilla pod ice cream.
Oh and I recommend the Ginger Mojitos, very nice!
